Elm Ridge activities

We seek to reach out to people around us with the message of Jesus in word and action. Here are some of the things we do:

Alpha Courses run from time to time for those who are interested in exploring Christianity - no pressure!

Assemblies in local schools are often led by Church staff and members

Sunday Night Youth - Christian teaching for 11's - 16's on alternate Sundays at 7.30-9pm. Social/games night every other Sunday.

Tiddlywinks - Parents and Toddlers praise time, aiming to draw in Parents who attend toddler group (1.30 pm on Mondays in the church hall).

Youth Club (years 4-6) Saturdays 7.00 - 8.30 pm - All sorts of games - computer games, football, snooker, table tennis etc. etc. plus tuck shop. Youth Club Dates | Youth Club flyer Youth Club (years 7+) Saturdays 8.30 - 10 pm - Activities - computer games, football, snooker, table tennis etc. etc. plus tuck shop. Youth Club Dates | Youth Club flyer Football training for all ages - in the church grounds as announced.

Holiday Club - Children's Holiday Bible Club held annually in the Summer holidays.

Garden Party - Annual celebration on the second Saturday in June - part of the proceeds are donated to a nominated charity.

Other organizations

Sowing Seeds Ministries Elm Ridge has a link with Sowing Seeds Ministries - helping and caring for offenders, offering them purpose and direction in life. There are several opportunities to support this vital work: 1. Write letters to prisoners: please see Val Johnson (contact via the church office) 2. Join a prayer team for the work of Sowing Seeds ministries: see Jane Richardson (contact via the church office) 3. Prison visits can be arranged through Gram Seed (details from the church office) 4. Give regularly to "Sowing Seeds"

We support Tees Valley Youth for Christ which, with support from churches and Christians in the Darlington Area employs Mel and Martin Stand as directors for the (all denomination) Darlington Area Churches Youth Ministry (DACYM).
