Our Mission

Based upon 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 14, we are:
"Compelled by Christ's love to be God's Church in today's world"

We aim to do this through: Worship, Teaching, Ministry, Evangelism, Care and Fellowship.

Worship - Compelled by Christ's love and touch, to reach higher in our worship of God.
We acknowledge this to be our church's highest purpose.
We acknowledge prayer to be of utmost importance in the life of this church.
We embrace many kinds of worship and seek to honour and glorify God through celebration and contemplation, by word, deed, song and silence.

Teaching - Compelled by Christ's love to reach deeper into, and respond to the word of God.
We acknowledge the centrality of the word of God and dedicate ourselves to allowing the Bible to be our foundation, instruction and inspiration.
This we aim to do through preaching, teaching, Bible study, sharing and example, in groups, as families and as individuals, that is both relevant to contemporary situations and faithful to God's word.

Ministry - Compelled by Christ's love and compassion to experience and express wholeness through the power of God.
We acknowledge our brokenness and that of the world around us, but we rejoice in God's healing power.
We dedicate ourselves to being a sensitive, listening church, which offers God's compassionate love and healing for the world.
We aim to do this by being understanding and compassionate in every area of our church life.

Evangelism - Compelled by Christ's love to share the good news of God's love in Jesus Christ.
We acknowledge the need for all people to hear the message of Jesus.
We dedicate ouselves to being a church that seeks to witness in example, word and action.
We aim to do this by encouraging our people to be a missionary congregation in every situation.
We acknowledge the vitalimportance of every person's mission, and seek to be a resource and aid for them.

Care - Compelled by Christ's love to care for and to serve all those in need through the love of God.
We acknowledge the emptiness of our witness without real acts of love.
We aim to do this through pastoral care, social action and responsible giving.

Fellowship - Compelled by Christ's love to care for and love one another as commanded by Jesus, and becoming warmer in the Spirit.
We acknowledge God's desire for us to be a community and family united together in His Name and for His Glory.
We aim for the time we spend together to be times of blessing for all our people.
We seek to build relationships with Christians of other denominations.
We seek to be an open community, where everyone is welcome and which recognises and nurtures people's gifts.
