Local

We seek to serve people around us in a variety of ways through our own activities such as the Elm Ridge Care Team.
Elm Ridge has a link with Sowing Seeds Ministries - helping and caring for offenders - more details on Reaching Out page.
We also support local charities. Many Elm Ridge members are involved with the Darlington Town Mission which supports needy people in the town.
We have supported Nightstop, based at Grange Road Baptist Church, Darlington, serving homeless people in the town, and Lifeline Christian Ministry based at Mount Pleasant Independent Methodist Church Spennymoor, providing food and friendship to homeless people in the North-East.

Worldwide

Further afield, we have links with Christian workers in Kenya, Benin and the Czech Republic.
We participate in the annual neighbourhood collection for Christian Aid and have also supported the work of TearFund and Send a Cow. There is a Traidcraft stall in the Church Hall on Sunday mornings, and in the church corridor during the rest of the week.
